PETER FOCHS

Peter Fochs, 73, 1605 Burek Ave., died Friday afternoon in a local hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Ritter & Deutsch Funeral Home. The Rev. James Schafer, of St. Anne's Catholic Church will officiate
and burial will be in Marathon Cemetery. The body is will be in the funeral home after 10 a.m. Monday.

Born at Marathon May 28, 1891, Mr. Fochs was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Fochs. A retired farmer and logger and a veteran of World War I, he lived with a sister, Mrs. Emanuel Yessa, at the Burek Avenue address. He never married.

Survivors besides Mrs. Yessa include three other sisters, Mrs. Jacob King and Mrs. Magdalena Artus, both of Edgar, and Mrs. Gertrude Moreth, Scottsdale, Ariz., and two brothers, Mathias, Shawmut, Mont. and Leo, Pittsville.
