JayJay Net's founder began with computer networking back in the mid 1980's programming and running a Bulletin Board System (BBS) under the name of 'The Twilight Zone BBS'. (The name was later, in 1992, changed to 'The T-Zone BBS'). It was a relatively small Bulletin Board system then (around 150 members) that attracted computer people throughout central Wisconsin, a few dozen from other states, and even a few European and Asian callers. Online chatting, debating, and game playing was popular, along with message boards, and file up/downloads.
Internet EMail was added in 1992 - a rarity in the BBS world. Then full dialup Internet was added in mid-1995 and we incorporated and changed the name. This was an instant hit in central Wisconsin and immediately drew a very large number of subscribers. We ensured our customers had a top of the line system with top of the line technicians to talk to that ran our help desk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This really aided our popularity. We had literally no true competition in the area as no other provider could even come close to the quality of service we provided, a philosphy that we continue to hold true today.
As we grew, our name became a household word throughout central Wisconsin. Our customer churn rate was far below the nationwide average, (less than a fraction of 1% which was literally unheard of), proof that our belief of treating each customer with individualized care and respect works well.
Fast forward to today and here we are, still doing what we do best as well as what benefits our customers most - providing nationwide internet service that is second to none. We love the business of helping people use the internet. It is, and always has been, one of our top company goals to assist people in experiencing how great customer service can truly be.
